BANGOR, Maine — It’s a question many Maine veterans are asking these days: Are there any of those walking sticks left that the Cole Land Transportation Museum has been passing out for several years?
JEANERETTE — It has been a long time in the works, but people in Jeanerette will soon have a safer and more comfortable place to get their stride. At Monday night’s meeting of the Jeanerette Board of Aldermen, members awarded the project for the Burleigh Park walking trail to J.C. Construction.
Using a rope treadmill, researchers have revealed that tiny species use no more energy climbing vertically than they do walking on the ground, a find that bolsters theories about the earliest primates.
