| Crisp Visual Arts Association sponsored a workshop in the Japanese art of origami (paper folding) at its May meeting. Dr. Mihoko Tsutsumi, a choral conducting instructor at the University of Florida and a native of Japan, led attendees in making a helmet, a ball, a locust and a crane. |

| Fourth-grade John Benner originally learned how to fold origami from instructional books. He generally folds animals and gets inspiration from books, magazines and animals he sees in Needham. He folds every day, spending anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of hours on a piece. |
