A small audience Wednesday got a taste of the sounds of music the public will be hearing during the Susquehanna Folk Music Society's York Folk 2008-09 concert season.

The Folk on Mass series begins Friday with a visit from Harvey Reid. The series is presented in a Victorian home in downtown Lawrence (1646 Massachusetts St.) with just enough room for 40 to 45 guests. All of the shows start at 7:30 p.m.

Railroad Police Increasing Manpower For American Folk Festival (WCSH 6 Portland)

Sergeant tim falvey will be one of 15 officers patrolling the tracks that run through the folk festival. Falvey says Bangor police and festival volunteers will also be watching the tracks to make sure festival goers only cross the tracks at the three designated railroad crossings.
