The University of Tennessee-Knoxville plans to keep its audiology and speech pathology program after opposition to a plan to include the program and an associated clinic in budget cuts.
UT administrators say plans are place to keep the university's audiology and speech pathology department open and in Knoxville. Program supporters say the celebration is on hold until they see details surrounding the plan.
Knox County Commission may test its influence and try to help save the University of Tennessee's Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology department.
