The state has suspended admissions at Briarcliff Health Care Center, a 120-bed licensed nursing home at 100 Elmhurst Drive in Oak Ridge. It's based on violations found during a complaint investigation.
Faced with cuts in state Medicaid payments, Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital announced Tuesday it will close its Extended Care Facility and has given the 38 nursing home residents 18 months to relocate.
