| Piper Alpha memorial services take place (Scotland Today) |
| Memorial services will today commemorate the 167 offshore workers who died in the Piper Alpha tragedy 20 years ago. Relatives and survivors will gather at the Kirk of St Nicholas in aberdeen this afternoon. A wreath will also be placed at sea towards the spot where Piper Alpha stood. |
