This site provides updates on electric rates in the Texas area using the top competitive Retail Electric Provider bids. A reverse auction on electricity is started in order to bring down the profit margin on these rates so a discount electric price can be obtained. Aggregation and MCPE pricing options are used in order to procure the lowest energy rate possible. TXU, Reliant, and Direct Energy are large electric providers in Texas but many times a lower rate is found with some of the others.
