A Lake County judge admitted Wednesday he had been drinking alcohol on the night he was arrested for drunken driving, but insisted he wasn’t intoxicated or driving erratically when he was stopped by Vernon Hills police.
Mayor Rita Ellis was driving so erratically on Linton Boulevard earlier this month that a man in a car ahead of her feared she "might be intoxicated," according to police reports and a recorded 911 call.
