The Portland City Council recently adopted an ordinance to ban the use of firearms and air guns inside city limits with exceptions made for self defense as outlined by state law and law enforcement officers.

Never mind that the U.S. Supreme Court just struck down Washington's 32-year-old ban on possessing handguns.
BUCKLAND - Two Mohawk Trail Regional High School students who brought firearms into the school this spring have been expelled, Superintendent Michael A. Buoniconti said.
