Barbie and Bratz dolls are sisters, a jury has decided in a major victory to Mattel Inc., the world's largest toymaker, in its copyright infringement lawsuit against rival MGA Entertainment Inc.
Blanca Deyanira Perez-Nino, originally from Bogota, has collected 100 dolls from different countries. She has been collecting the dolls ever since her cousin, Yolanda Lopez, gave her a baby doll as a present 20 years ago.
July 18 (Bloomberg) -- Mattel Inc. may ask a jury this month for hundreds of millions of dollars in damages after the panel found drawings for MGA Entertainment Inc.'s Bratz dolls were made while the designer worked at Mattel.
